From Skeptic to True Believer
Like many of you, I was skeptical about AI. I saw the hype, but my own experiences were underwhelming. It felt like a clunky, half-assed solution in search of a problem.
But a conversation with my friend Sam Woods, one of the few legit AI and marketing geniuses (and a truly wonderful person), changed everything. I mentioned to Sam that I had been looking for ways to use AI to build a one-person, seven-figure business — a business that gave me more freedom, flexibility, and financial security — without sacrificing my personal life, my values, or my integrity.
Sam’s response was immediate and unequivocal: “We’re at a point where with tools like Notebook LM and Notion AI, you can operate a one-person, $1 million business pretty easily.”
That was a hell of a statement and it stopped me in my tracks. If Sam, who’s been at the forefront of AI for years, believed it was possible, I knew I needed to start taking AI seriously.
Inspiration, Curiosity, and Ultimately, Excitement
With Sam’s inspiration and direction, I took a leap of faith into the deep end of the AI pool. Rather than get caught up in information overload and find myself completely overwhelmed, I’ve stayed focused on understanding and using a handful of tools focused on a few core things that really matter (audience building, offer creation, improving customer experience, and more).
My overall goal is simple. Build a one-person, seven-figure business by using AI tools to amplify my strengths and fill in the gaps where I habitually fall short.
Now I use my hard-earned, time-tested frameworks with AI tools daily to:
- Do more of what I love, like writing, engaging with customers, creating offers, and teaching, better and faster.
- Tackle important work I’d been avoiding, like improving course content, creating sales pages and Facebook ads, all with surprising ease.
- Uncover hidden opportunities and develop innovative strategies that I never would have considered on my own.
The completed unexpected upside is that I’ve felt more alive in the last few months than I have for a LONG time.
The excitement for my work is back and stronger than ever. I’m doing more of what I love, more of what needs to be done, and I’ve easily 10x’d my productivity (more likely 20x’d) while loving what I’m doing even more.
I never imagined what I have been experiencing would be possible.

It’s long overdue to give you back some praise and appreciation – and now that the dust is settling after Black Friday madness, I’m finally taking the time for it.
Enrolling in the BGA series turned out to be the best buying decision of this year in value.
Of late, I’ve come to terms with abandoning courses half through (quarter) (tenth) – with the little time I have at hand. I often seek just one inspiring thought, one seed of wisdom, and if I find it, I consider it worth the investment.
